ReplyDeleteChris, for example, had an open book mentality, except when it came to his previous life and family.
This represents in terms of his personality that he is brash and likely flashy when he does something; wishing to go out with a bold swing and not caring for what others thought. Secondly, it also reveals about his psyche that he wished to escape the confining feeling that his family and life in general had. The society didn’t match his persona or desire, and so he left. His devoted nature to his own cause led him throughout his life, it can be shown in many examples through the book. Pg. 18 (ch.1-3) “If he started a job he’d finish it, he never did anything halfway” shows that in even when it came to jobs that he didn’t have to do, or were overly difficult, he’d continue to try to do it until it was done. Pg. 64-65 (chapters 7-9) “You could tell he didn’t take relationships lightly” This was in Chris’s disinterest of relationships less he went all the way, such as marriage and children. This once more shows his extreme seriousness towards everything in his life. Pg. 28-29 (Ch. 4-6) “Moral responsibility to flout the laws of the state” references his religious zeal in his beliefs and how unswerving he was in following through; the bark with the bite to back it up, so to speak.
